Bear Farm

Bear Farm is nestled on 83 acres in the beautiful southern Finger Lakes of New York. We raise white and colored Corriedale sheep and offer high quality wool yarn, clean handspinners fleeces and specialty products at very affordable prices. Try the quality alternative for your next knitting project.

Wool Yarn

Our yarn is from Corriedale sheep which produce a particularly long-stable, soft yarn. It is spun with natural lanolin oils to make sweaters and mittens softer and weather resistant. We offer 3 all-natural colors spun with natural undyed wools (#1, 2 + 3), plus twenty-seven more heather colors made with a blend of dyed and natural wools, put up in 2-ply (4 ounce skeins), sport (one-pound cones), and bulky (4 ounce skeins).

Handspinner fleeces

Our sheep graze on green fields keeping the white and colored Corriedale fleeces clean. As sheep age, their fleeces turn from black to brown, silver or grey. We can offer you a fine selection of well-skirted fleeces for your next spinning project.

Additional Products

Also available are large white, machine washable sheepskins (approx. 28" X 48"), hand knit hats and socks, wool blankets and honey.
